About Roohangiz Sami Nejad

This film explores the life and death of Roohangiz Sami Nejad, ’s first actress, who was ostracized by her family, hometown, and community for choosing an acting career and appearing in the film *The Lor Girl*. She lived and died in solitude. The film recreates scenes from her life and follows a young man who is investigating her story. Sami-Nejad dies alone, ill and isolated, leaving behind only a few photographs taken by a young researcher.
