About Esmash Zolm Abad Bood ( The Name Was ZolmAbad )
The film focuses on the village of Zolm-Abad—located near Sabzevar and renamed Adel-Abad after the Revolution—where the residents primarily earn a living by performing music, singing, and dancing at weddings and festive gatherings. Despite enduring a chronic lack of basic amenities like water and electricity, and having transitioned from a harsh nomadic tent-dwelling existence to mud-brick homes, they maintain a joyful spirit; they believe that no hardship can prevent them from being happy or bringing joy to others. The film’s structure incorporates direct-to-camera interviews with these entertainers (known locally as "Motreb") alongside footage of them performing at celebrations.
